chrisyoung_RGUMemberHi,
First post to the forum. Currently working on a small application for a prototype at work. At some point I would need the screen to be able to display the content in landscape mode on the ipod touch – does mobione support such a feature?
Rough prototype so far is available at http://www.comp.rgu.ac.uk/docs/ipoddev/mobione/home.html if you want to view via ipod/iphone.
Many Thanks
Chris.
Albatros78ParticipantHi Chrisyoung
Click on the green arrow (top right of your Iphone dev center) to go to the test center.
When your test center is ok, To change orientation click on “View” menu and choose rotate to landscape.Hope this helps
chrisyoung_RGUMemberHi,
Thanks for the reply, sorry I think my question wasnt really clear enough.
What I actually wish to do is to have the content in portrait mode dynamically fit landscape mode when I turn the ipod on its side – at the moment the app still renders as if its in portrait mode when flipped to landscape, leaving a large blank space on the right hand side of the design.
Having used jqtouch in a prior test app, it automatically readjusts the content to suit when in landscape mode, I presuming that mobione does not yet support this feature ???
Thanks
Chris.
wayneModeratorChris,
Orientation-specific layout is on our near-term mobione TODO list. We have a big list of improvements planned that will enable mobione to generate code that runs well on any smartphone or device. We are still researching how best to approach this problem since it impacts the Design Center mostly. I’ll keep everyone posted when we start working on portrait support.
