Any plans to provide tooling and automation/generation for REST? (Server and client)

Think of integrating the JAX-RS (JavaTM API for RESTful Web Services) package as defined in JSR-311.

I dont know if there is something on Eclipse.org, but because this is part of a JSR (and maybe part of JEE6) this could be implemented there.

JAX-RS support is in development and will be part of 7.0.

Great to hear that you are adding it, when is 7.0 coming and will there be any additional intermediate releases?

I may be missing something obvious, I’m just trying out MyEclipse (having used Eclipse for years).

When I try go the New Web Service Project screen there is no option for REST (JAX-RS)? How do I get it to appear?

    pparry,
You need to upgrade to MyEclipse 7.0 GA to see the option.
