cpmac61MemberHi
My app was refused for several reasons, jagged images, non IOS7 buttons etc..I thought I’d soved the problems but checking the list I see the
“- Was not optimized to support the device screen size and/or resolution.” lineThis apparently refers to retina screen resolution.
I’ve been searching the forums for questions on this and only found ones dating from 2011 which said the team were working on it.
In MObione the only options are iphone 4 5 or ipad.Is my app going to be refused again.
a link to the web app version is

cpmac61MemberHi
Getting no answer, I wonder if i’ve asked a stupid question.
If I view my app in the websimulator and put a custom screen of 1500×2000 the app displays in th etop left corner taking up a quarter of the screen, except nav bars which are in the correct place. The following is the only mention I find about retina resolution in the forum andot dates from 2011

Currently the visual designer does not provide dual support for retina and non-retina displays. The 320×480 non-retina UI layout is still the default. We plan to provide retina support as soon as we work out a deep technical limitation in scaling that goofs up badly. As you may have noticed the Visual Designer can be scaled up to 150 percent but we need 200 percent scaling for retina display which has issues. Expect retina support as soon as we resolve this scaling issue. Also the dev team has been exploring other options but they have not matured yet._________________

You can easily simulate an ios7 borderless button styling as shown here: http://www.genuitec.com/support-genuitec/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6984
In the guide (url) above a couple of widgets were updated with 2x retina support. If you are including images in your app you must ensure they of sufficient quality and resolution to render on the different retina displays.Lastly my 2 cents is it’s impossible to say what outcome you will have with a resubmission without seeing your UI layout and the quality of images your app includes. Apple has been accepting MobiOne apps as recent as this past weekend. So your success could be a function of the reviewer, time of day or week of the review and is your app UI designed generally good enough to clear apple’s fuzzy subjective bar for acceptance.
cpmac61MemberHow does one get a design to adapt to ipad2 and retina?
If open my design in the websimulator on a 1500×2000 screen everything takes up a quarter of the scren except text boxes which spread across the screen.
support-michaelKeymasterTake a look at this doc that describes the basic function of the resize properties.
If you have specific layout problem after reviewing the doc please share here and we’ll try to provide guidance.
cpmac61MemberWhich doc ? i think you’ve forgotten a link.
support-octavioMemberHi cpmac61,
