    Riyad,

We (at least I) am talking about when you use JPA Reverse Engineering. There is no option to set the ID Generator anywhere.

I found that once the classes are generated and you go into the Java Persist Perspective and get the generated class in the edit window, the JPA Details view can allow you to set the id generation options.

While a temporary workaround, it is still a multi-step process in reverse engineering tables, it is still a bug that JPA reverse engineering lost that ability with ME 6.0

    frank,
We agree that it has to be addressed. One of the DB devs got back to me and said that time allotting, he’s going to look into it for 6.1, but it might be in the release after that (a lot of high profile work already planned/started for 6.1 that takes priority)

    Riyad,

That’s great news… the thing about usability is that there is always opportunity! 🙂

    Thanks again,
    Frank
