I just went through and manually validated quite a few of the XML, XSD and TLD files in my project to see where the deployment descriptor was dying and then performed a sync against CVS to make sure I wasn’t corrupting anything and found that all the files I had just validated are marked as new and CVS wants to check them in.
Can you stop the XML validator from modifying the files? Or rather, why does it need to?

RiyadThe issue is that the XML editor saves its contents prior to performing validation. I’ve posted a bug to have the editor only save the contents if they are dirty prior to performing validation.
