Sir/Madam,
I have some older .launch scripts.
When I Right Click, Run As, I would expect to see Ant as an option.
I do not see this. How do I configure MyEclipse to run ANT when it sees a *.launch file
(This runs fine in eclipse 3.3)

You will have to go to Run > External Tools > Open External Tools Dialog… Now double click on new configuration and create a new ant configuration. You will have to point the configuration to your build.xml.
