I was wondering if there is a way to run/debug projects multiple tomcat instances at the same time on different port numbers the way it is available in Eclipse Ganymede and IntelliJ.

I’m afraid thats not possible with MyEclipse at this point in time. There is a Custom Configuration option that allows you to configure multiple Tomcat instances at the same time but we have uncovered a bug with this functionality and we are working on rectifying this issue. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I’ve just upgraded to WAS 6.1. With WAS 5 I was able to configure and run/debug multiple instances on different ports. Since moving to 6.1 I have not been able to get it to work. I copied the launch configuration from the server connector config. over to a new run configuration but it still did not work. Is there an easier way to accomplish this? Does MyEclipse Blue allow multiple WAS instances?

Yes, MyEclipse Blue supports this functionality. You can take a look at this link:-
