I have a rather complex form ( consisting mainly of JTextFields) that causes MyEclipse 5.5.1GA integrated on WindowsXP to crash almost every time I try to save it.

How can I troubleshoot it?
Can I send *.java *.form to someone from MyEclipse team?

Can you create a small sample project that includes your form and enough code that the project compiles without errors and export it (File > Export > Archive) to a ZIP and email it to support@genuitec.com ATTN Riyad with a link to this thread for reference?

By the way, I have had exactly the same problem with this form with MyEclipse 5.1.0

I got the project and opened the form without incident

What command line arguments do you use to start MyEclipse? You could be running into a memory limitation.

Opening the form is not the problem.
Saving it crashes MyEclipse.
Have you tried saving?

How do I start MyEclipse with more memory?
I am starting with whatever got installed default in “all in one”.

How can I capture the Java crash message other than the screen capture?

Paul,
I see the problem now. This is actually a performance issue… if you wait long enough the form *will* save… but I just tried it on a Core 2 Duo 2.2ghz machine and it pegged 1 core for about 1.5mins and then finally saved.

Certainly not usable for real development. I’ll file it as a bug.

In my case I am getting “Windows program not responding” error message and can only force close MyEclipse at that point.
