robert65MemberHi wayne and Octavio, since the download of 2.0 I am finding the scroll screens are not operating freely, I find it difficult to scroll down and in some ocassionsthe page won’t move at all, can you investigate, I can forward you an iOS dowload if required with the screens highlighted.
support-octavioMemberHi Robert,
A few days ago we received a similar report, the issue was an error in javascript code. Can you check if is something similar please?
robert65MemberOctavio, tried changing the following file as decribed in the other thread but it still does not scroll, the file i changed was
\main-www\main_custom.js, is the correct?
support-michaelKeymasterPlease share any examples with us as that is one of the quickest ways for us to get on the same page as you when investigating issues.
robert65Memberwayne, i have just email a full project and where the problem exits, i cannot send anymore update to Apple until i find a fix
Thank you in advance
robert65MemberWayne, going through my five apps created and the three that I have upgraded to 2.0 all have issues with the scrolling, some screens work fine and others don’t, there seems no exact reason, what I have noticed is that when you try to scroll, if you scroll up instead of down you get a bounce effect as if the scroll is going the wrong way if that makes sense.
philvosParticipantHelloTeam support,
I have the same issue on scoll. I have ten Items list to call diferrent url. if i dont select open new window(native only) then the page can scroll. But if i select open new window(native only) up to six item then the page cannot scroll. I have test it by change the sixth item to defaul(not select open new window) then the page is scroll. FYI: this page is a new page I created after latest update v 2.0. all other old pages created on the first time v 2.0 was release are working fine.
Please announce if you have any suggestion or new update release.
Thank you.
support-michaelKeymasterThanks for sharing your project with us. Investigating today and will follow up as soon as we know more.
support-michaelKeymasterCan you send use an example project demonstrating this issue? If yes please attach the project archive to this thread (including .mobi files) or send to:
support at genuitec dot com with title “MobiOne project data from philvos”
This is the quickest way for us to get in-sync with your issue.
support-michaelKeymasterAll,
Thanks for providing the test data. After further investigation we have isolated the scrolling problem. In a nutshell there is an ipad bug that causes the simple implementation of GotoURL w/ a popup window option to completely crash an app. We thought our current implementation workarounds around this bug. But our research today found a race condition which is preventing the scrollable-panel from detecting scroll gestures and instead the widget w/ the gotoURL action is grabbing the scroll gesture prematurely. Unfortunately this issue is affecting all 2.0 iOS application. We are working to identify a fix now. A worst case solution will be to provide a fix limited to non-ipad apps.
I’ll update you as we continue our research.
robert65MemberWayne, thanks for the update
support-michaelKeymasterUpdate: we have been grind away on this and believe we have found a solution that does not require a compromised operation on ipad2’s 🙂
We can make available an early QA build of the 2.0.1 release if you would like to give it a try? Please post your availability to give it a try asap and will see if we can share a download link.
robert65MemberWayne happy to try it out immediately as I said before I cannot send any updates to apple without this or I need to change how users view the whole app
philvosParticipantPlease send me a download link. I have few app need to fix it. Thank you
support-michaelKeymasterall: apologies but the build I planned to share with you is not quiet ready. It has been delayed. I’m hoping to make it available on Sunday AM if all goes well.
