MyEclipse does not support SEAM at the moment. We are considering it for a future release and it should be added very soon.

If you look at the JBoss Seam documentation, you will find that Eclipse supports Seam. How can Eclipse support it but not MyEclipse?

Eclipse is free but we subscribe to MyEclipse for a fee. My understanding was that MyEclipse adds more features on top of Eclipse. Surely any features or plugins supported by Eclipse should not be abrogated by MyEclipse.

    kideyse,

It can depend how the feature is integrated. We build ontop of the WTP editor framework, but there are many different points of contact that we may not use that the SEAM integration into WTP may use.

All I can share right now is that management is aware of how popular this request is, and is planning our internal development roadmap accordingly. I have no ETA or promised release date to share for SEAM support at this time though.

    Riyad,

If the sourcecode for MyEclipse is open or can be made available, we can assist you in integrating SEAM. All that Eclipse did to include SEAM is integrating the ANT build process into their IDE.

    Ed,

We surely appreciate the offer. I’ll pass it along to upper management.
