Hello,

I just installed 3.8GA and found that when I now do a Java search (find in workspace) on any Java identifier, the search dialog appears and never disappears. When I press the “details” button, I see the progrss bar moving to and fro on the “Java search” item. While this is happening, I see intense traffic happening over the internet, which is certainly not related to any other app on my system (reproducible anytime).
The only escape is to first send the search into the background and then exit eclipse.

BTW, earlier on I got an error related to JSP indexing. I am mentioning this as the search seems to be dealing with JSPs as well.

PS: the error log is always full of errors. Due to the fact that they are so numerous and not clearly related to any concrete issue, I keep deleting them

PPS: It seems you have incorporated large parts of the IBM web tooling project. I assume you are inheriting a lot of problems from there. I had the WT project installed previously, and threw it out due to strange errors and instability. Now its back through the back door…

This issue has been addressed in MyEclipse 3.8.1. Please update for the fix.
