Using 3.8.0 GA I cannot use the references> workspace function anymore as it launches java search and jsp indexing thread that seems to loop and cannot be cancelled. If I cancel java search for example it will show up (java search (cancelled)) but the thread keeps running.
My only way out of it before it crashes eclipse is to close eclipse and start over. I believe it is a problem of the ibm webtools that you incorporated in your product. Is there a way out of it? Thanks

    Eclipse 3.0

Can you check your log file and see if its running out of memory?

I just tried this on my build and while the JSP indexing did take about a minute in my workspace, it eventually finished and showed the JSP pages using the class in question. However, it did gobble up a good bit of RAM in the process. I’ve opened a bug report for it so the speed and memory usage issues can be addressed. Thanks for letting us know about it.

I think that the problem started when I cancelled the java search (not the jsp indexing) as it was taking too long. It gets into a loop I believe.

see error (capped as it continues like this on and on until I shut down eclipse). hope it helps

Thanks for the stacks, but I believe these are simply problems created during workbench shutdown when the OSGI layer continues to try to start plugins after others have been shutdown. Confusing at best. We’ll dig into the issue and get it resolved ASAP.
