    Hi,
is there anyway i can send my App to my iphone via the computer.
My app exceeds the 1mb download limit and i spent ages on it, and i dont want it to go to waste.
I have tried the image compresser and all other options but can not get to go under 1mb.

    Thanks

I do not know of any other way except hosting the webapp using your own service.

I’m curious how large is your webapp, e.g., the xxx_export folder?

Sorry for the late reply. The folder is 8.02MB.
The app contains loads of buttons, if i cut down the amount of buttons will that
make it any smaller or will reducing the size of the images again make it even smaller…?

8Mb is pretty beefy. Would you mind sharing your entire project with me to analyze the distribution of the size and how we may be able to help reduce it’s size? If yes, send me a zip archive of all .mobi files, the images used and exported code to support at genuitec dot com with the subject line large project for Wayne.

After along process of cutting down on buttons and images I managed to get the file below 1mb and it still is the same as before, I will be unable to send you the 8mb version as i have deleted it from my system, sorry. MobiOne is a great service and the help that you gave me was extremely helpfull, thank you.

A MobiOne update is planned for early next week. It will include an expanded upload limit from 1Mb to 2Mb – not sure how much that will help you but it is a step in the direction.

    All,

MobiOne 1.1.3 has been released today. It includes an expanded AppSync up load limit to 2Mb.

Note: AppSync is built on Google AppEngine which requires that your development network must be able to complete the full upload and mobile download with in 30 secs.

    See the ANN here.

There was a goof up in the 1.1.3 final build process that failed during merging in the enhancement to increase the AppSync upload and hosting limit. Earlier today (May 19) we released 1.1.4 that includes an increase from 1Mb to 2Mb in upload limit.

Sorry about any confusion this caused. It confused me for sure…

Can you run a test on this software as my tech guy now thinks I have a virus and this is the only thing I have updated or installed!

I’ll bet there is some type of false negative with the virus software.

Q: are you installing the latest MobiOne software? That would be version 1.1.4?

Please share with me antivirus make, version and error message for our internal verification process. Most A/V software is heuristic based and it is easy for them to goof up and make false claims against valid software. We work hard to avoid triggering their heuristics but they change all the time.

There should be no issue with MobiOne integrity. If you downloaded the MobiOne installer from genuitec.com view the properties of MobiOne_1.1.4_Installer.exe and you should see that it is signed with the genuitec.com certificate. Also on startup, MobiOne runs an integrity check to self diagnose for problems that may arise from product alteration.
