I have a class A that contains a nested class FactoryA that is registered at runtime with the Factory.class.

When I try to create a Lifeline and associate it with the nested class within A, it is not available to choose from.

Is there a way I can model this?

I could not replicate the issue at my end. Attached is the screen shot listing the LifeLine under Objects.

Alternatively you can right click on the Java class you want to model, select MyEclipse > Generate UML2 Sequence diagram.
