This may not be the place to post this – but I’m doing it anyway.
Does anyone know the reason for Eclipse 3.1.2/MyEclipse 4.1.1 not providing a UID for a serializable class? When I click on Add SerialVersionID on the context menu, I get nothing.

Moving to OT > Soft Dev

This is a new compiler warning in Eclipse 3.1 that you can turn off under the compiler settings.

ALso there are two quick fix options for this: 1) generate default value of 1L or 2) generate a real value.
