I regularly use an external tomcat5 instance. Each time I start up I have to re-enable it in order to have it appear in the server view. How do I persist an app server in the server view? Thanks.

Ideally, the server should persist on startup. Do you have any permission issues that might be preventing the properties from getting saved?

Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.

I’m working on a WinXP machine on which I am administrator. So permissions issues should not be related. Good thought, but I don’t think it’s my problem.

There are three rows which persist on startup:
    <Custom Location> – I can’t configure it, it’s a generic icon, and I can’t start it, status is N/A, can’t start it, the button is greyed out
<Custom Location – Suffixed> – Again, can’t configure, generic icon, status is N/A, can’t start it, the button is greyed out
    <Externally Launched> – same as above

Here’s the install details. I’m wondering if there’s some server config file for MyEclipse that might have gotten munged. Is there some file I can go and possibly clean up? Thanks!
