I’d like to see an option that would allow me to launch an Application server in either Run or Debug mode without requiring me to go into the Server configuration options. Other than the advanced deployment options, this would same me a lot of time.

Would you say something along the lines of the existing Eclipse “Run” paradigm? Maybe add a new type of “Run As… -> Web Application” or somethign that allows you to setup a run target with all the server parameters?

That would be exactly what I want. I normally work in “RUN” mode but occasionally have to switch to “DEBUG”. Instead of having to reconfigure the server, what I was hoping for was to have the option under the “Run/Stop Server” button to have an option something like “Start in Run Mode, “Start in Debug Mode”, “Stop”) so I can make the selection there.

If you are proposing having separate “Run Server” and “Debug Server” buttons that would default to the last server I used then by all means, that is more acceptable.
