Is there a way to set a default “opening view” for visual designer? I want the visual designer to open pages by default in code view. Now the designer opens always in horizontal panes showing design and code view.

Patrick, Try collapsing the design view before closing the editor and see if it saves the state, then re-open it.

NOTE: It should save the state, just making sure it’s working on your end too.
