I would like to be able to see the changes I made. There is a small indicator on the right hand side as soon as I make a change but when I save the file that little indicator goes away, which is not what I want it to do. Netbeans does this very well and am hoping there is a way to do this in ME7.1.

    Thanks

I’m haven’t understood what you are looking for. Can you upload a screenshot to clarify your question.

Under Preferences->General->Editors->Text Editors->Accessibility there is an option for “Use Characters to show changes in vertical ruler”. That character disappears when you save the file, what I would like is for that character to not disappear until I actually commit the changes to CVS.

I will try and upload some screenshots tonight.

The purpose of that feature is to show changes between the editor and the original file. It doesn’t reach any further. Once the file is saved there is no difference to display.

I was using that as an example of what I’m looking for.

Ok, so it’s basically a feature request. I suspect it’s something that the Eclipse developer would have to add to the core, though.

Or does anyone know of a plugin that does that?

I’m afraid I dont know of any plugin that will help you add this feature to MyEclipse.

You may want to try the “Team -> Annotations” for the file under CVS source control. It may appear different, but changes from the current file against the repository will show up ‘non-colored’.

Look for “CVS Annotate” in the Help Contents for more information
