is there a sample JSF application or even a tutorial (e.g. comparable to what sun has under http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/tutorial/doc/index.html), but for myeclipse ?

And if you go to the Tutorials and Demo page, and scroll to the 2nd section, you can see a link to download the project that was used in the demo too.
