We have licenses for all of our developers, but we are an agile shop, so our developers aren’t always on the same workstation for even a whole day.

Is there a way to register MyEclipse so that it is global for all users of the computer instead of per user on each computer?

I’ve currently worked around the problem by copying the registration files to the network and then giving the developers an icon on their desktop which copies these files to their directories. I’d like to be able to register it once and just be done with it, though.

    LarryD,
Im afraid thats not possible. Each user has to store the license information in his home dir. There is not workaround for this.

<kibbutz>Sounds like a great potential for virtualized desktops so each developer could be running on the same VM regardless of location.</kibbutz>
