Hello
First of all, congratulations on the new release. I was excited to download it and start enjoying the new features.
Since I plan to reinstall Windows in a few weeks, I decided to try out the team-of-one feature.
I now regret having been so optimistic.
My main gripe: As far as I understand the Software part of the Collaboration tab in the Configuration Center, I should select each plugin and click share in order to add the plugin to my “cloud” profile. I cannot find a way to select all and do this in a single operation. Quite a boring task for 50+ plugins.
To make matters worse: After adding each plugin, there is some synchronization/validation that takes place so this takes about 10 seconds for each plugin. I’m facing 10 minutes of right clicking and waiting!
To make matters even worse: There seems to be a deadlock occurring so MyEclipse freezes up and is unresponsive. This is now the second time this happened. The first time it recovered after approx. 20 mins. but now it’s been sitting there with 0% CPU usage for 30 mins.
To make matters even worse than that: For some reason, two of the plugins got “voted off the island” and I will now need to remove them, add them again and add them to the “cloud” profile.
*sigh*
Let’s see what happens when I kill the myeclipse process…
OK, no settings were lost and I can select to keep the plugins voted off… promising.
Well … it locked up again after sharing 5-10 more plugins.
