MyEclipse uses the same color for both XML elements and XML attributes and that’s configurable through the XML Editor Preferences page by setting the color value for “tag”.

It would be nice to be able to specify the color of an XML attribute “name” so that’s it’s different than the color used for XML element.

Also (my ‘other’ two cents) bold text displayed in the MyEclipse XML editor is kind of hard on the eyes. I’d suggest simply using different colors for each item type as the default value (element, attribute name, attribute value) instead of using bold.

    Great Product!

I appreciate that fact that someone’s listening.

I only even noticed this because I also have the <oXygen> XML Editor plug-in [1] installed and I kind of prefer the style used in their XML editor (the defaults). I could ‘almost’ change the defaults in the MyEclipse XML Editor to be the same … except for setting the attribute name color.

    Cheers 😀
