When I started reading books on Spring, all the examples used “interface” classes to implemtn the inversion of control (IoC). I notice in the Spring tutorials on MyEclipse, that I never see and “interface” class. Does the applicationContext.xml take the place of these “interface” classes?

This may be a question better asked of the Spring folks but I thought one of you might know.
