Actually, at this time I never ever open the help menu. I never click on the help node of the preferences tree. And, I never open (and thus never close) any jsps.
As a result, eclipse with MyEclipseIDE has been rock solid.
I edit my JSPs in a different editor (slickedit) and I have actually gone so far as to install a completely separate version of eclipse that does not have MyEclipseIDE installed. That way I can use the help menu when necessary.
However, it would make my life a lot easier if I didn’t have to do these things. See the thread at
http://myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-5339.html
to see all my info about crashing when closing jsps and opening help. MyEclipseIDE is definitely the cause of these problems. A fresh install of Eclipse does not crash when the help menu is opened, but it does crash as soon as I install MyEclipseIDE.
