Struts 2 (2.0.6) was released in GA version.
But I suppose this is too late for integration in the next release :'(

Does the fact that struts is basically WebWork with a new recognizable name either help or hinder your efforts?

Depends on how different the config files and such are. If it’s all based on webwork then if we decided to support it, it would be a ground-up development effort which is taken a lot more seriously by management and costs us a lot more in time and money (dev/support/fixes/etc.)
