Sorry that you are seeing this issue with MyEclipse.

Can you please answer some more questions to help us investigate further:
1) Can you please share your MyEclipse installation details from MyEclipse > Installation summary > Installation details ?
2) Are you behind a firewall or proxy ? If yes then you have to set up your proxy details here – Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections and restart your IDE.
3) Are you trying to open a existing struts.xml file (or) a struts.xml file which is newly created ? If you are opening a existing file then create a new project and add struts capabilities and try opening struts.xml file which is created and check whether you see the same issue ?
4) Did you open the struts.xml config file in ‘MyEclipse struts 2 config editor’ ? If not, please mention the editor name.
5) Can you please switch to a new workspace and check whether you can replicate the issue there ?
6) Can you please try opening MyEclipse using the -clean command ? Please refer this FAQ for more details – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshoot-using-the-clean-command-line-argument/
7) Clear the contents of the .log file located at <Workspace dir>/.metadata/.log, replicate the issue ( try opening the struts.xml file) and attach the .log file here.

I was trying to open struts.xml in a project i checked out from SVN.
When i try create new project with struts capaility, there is no problem with the GUI editor.

Thanks for the details provided. We could not replicate the issue after opening the struts.xml file which was checked out from SVN repository.

If possible, can you please send us the project which exhibits this issue ? If you can’t send the source, then please strip the project of its source and send us struts.xml file and all the .* files (.project, .classpath, .mymetadata, .settings folders) of the project for further investigation.

To edit the struts.xml file in the meantime, can you please check whether you can open the struts.xml file with XML and/or text editors ?
