while using myeclipse ,struts-config.xml ,we have to hardcode the xml file or it is generated automatically while using the design
and what about web.xml is it necessary to hard code
as i am new to this eclipse and struts i think u will help me in solving this issue

Changes made in the design page are synchronized with the struts-config.xml file, so you do not have to handcode the xml file; using the design view should be just fine.
The web.xml file is automatically generated and modified when you add Struts capabilies. Other than that you can edit it using our XML editor.
