In a very large struts project, the scope of the design window is hard to use. In particular, I have few suggestions for improvements to the design view for struts:

    1. When I select on an element in the Design view, the corresponding source code should be selected too.
    2. The inverse of 1 should also work
    3. A split design/code view would be helpful
    4. An alternate format that mimics XML editors like XML Spy would be helpful. In particular, offer an enhanced grid view that can be expanded to the UML view incrementally. This would make it easier to edit and visualize in smaller increments
    5. A reformat option for the design view would be useful. When adding new elements, the IDE should be able to redraw the objects to fit the available real estate in the most efficient way. It does this the first time it open struts-config.xml, so it should be able to do it after being updated.
    6. Support for tag libraries should be tied into the editor. I should not have to hunt the preferences page for the tag library prefs. Also, these are currently buried in a non-intuitive location.
    7. Syntax helpers could be improved to work more like nitrox does it. When I am in the source editor, give me help on tags and attributes please!
    8. Hyperlink navigation could be improved. When I access a form-bean or action, the associated JSP or Java class should be directly accessible from the source view via a hot link.

Thank you for your consideration of these ideas.
