delfuegoMemberDoes anyone else have this problem?
I have three Mac OS X machines with MyEclipse installed, and on all three I have this ghosting or whatever going on in all four tabs of the Struts preference pane. I can tab to the settings that are hidden behind the frontmost ones, but I really don’t have any good way to know what they are, or whether they’re things I should be modifying from project to project.
Is there a way to fix this?
Riyad KallaMemberWe saw this during internal testing, it just hasn’t been fixed yet. Looks to be an SWT issue. I’m adding your comments to the internal bug, thank you for posting the screenshot.
delfuegoMemberOK — but what are the settings that are hidden? I’m mostly interested in figuring out if there’s anything there I care about…
Riyad KallaMemberYou are actually seeing the full screen (just ignore the “ghosted part”), I’m digging through the preference menus and don’t see where that ghosted menu is comming from, very strange.
delfuegoMemberFYI, I figured out another piece of this, a method that gives you frontmost access to those “ghosted” members of the preference pane.
1. Open the Struts preferences (as above).
2. Go to the Struts 1.2 tab of the pane.
3. Click on and highlight any of the .jar file entries in the top list box.
4. Click cancel at the very bottom of the preference dialog box.On my machine, this “closes” the Struts 1.2 portion of that preference pane but DOESN’T close the entire preferences dialog box; what’s left behind is all the ghosted members.
Weird, truly.
Riyad KallaMemberThank you for the findings, I am going to post them to the issue tracker to see if they make it easier for the devs to track down what is goin gon.
delfuegoMemberFYI, I am now running MyEclipse 6.0 M1, and this bug STILL IS NOT FIXED. I mean, what will it take?!?
Riyad KallaMemberdelfuego,
This is fixed in our internal 6.0 builds. 6.0 GA is due out in a few days. Sorry for the trouble, it was some screwy SWT issue on the Mac platform only, but our Mac dev knocked out the fix. -
