    Is this equivalent to a pre-release (stage between beta and release 1.0) or is a “GA” the latest production release?

    Thanks!

    Not a stupid question at all. GA is one of many industry terms for a production release.

    GA == General Availability
    Usually used to denote when the company can start recording revenue for a product. Anything prior (beta) doesn’t count.
