homeinteriorsMemberI receved the below message yesterday and have a couple of questions.
1) how are concurrent use licenses tracked and enforced (Internet clearinghouse server, etc), and 2) in the event of this type error, how do we clear the inactive user IPs?—–

Product ID: E3MP (MyEclipse Professional Subscription)
License version: 3.0
Full Maintenance Included
Subscription expiration date (YYYYMMDD): 20070110
Number of licenses: 4SUBSCRIPTION KEY PROBLEM: Too many users are using this subscription key. MyEclipse will now disable most featues. Either fewer instances of the workbench need to be run or additional subscription keys need to be purchased through the upgrade link. The list of IPs using this key have been written to the log and are also listed here for your convenience: 10.18.2.121, 10.16.9.142, 10.16.9.137, 10.16.9.135, 10.16.9.128
Riyad KallaMemberThe MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench includes a license administration component designed to track the number of instances using the same access key within customer local network. None of this information is communicated back to our servers. The license manager includes a simple counter for every new instance of the same key on the same machine or across the network. This counter doesn’t maintain records when an instance is closed since MyEclipse is not intended to be used as a floating license.
In your case it looks like you are using a group license for 4 people but 5 people have been recorded using it at the same time. If one of the developers has dual IPs (dual NICs, or a VPN or something) on their computer, this can cause a false positive as well. If this is the case, please email subscriptions@genuitec.com with a link to this post as well as an description of your setup and why you think this fault got triggered (possible developer setups, 1 extra developer using a license, etc.)
