    I have My Eclipse 8.0.
    Then I applied regular updates.
Now there is no Help -> Software Updates
Instead there is a Software and Workspace Center – which allows me to do basically the same thing in a better way.
    So far so good.

The dash board had a little section called populat plugins and Subversive Plugin is listed in there.
So, I select it and it intelligently selects Eclipse Subversive, mylyn support and polarion Subversive connectors.
HOWEVER, when it goes to downloading, apparently – Polarion plugins popup a dialog asking me to provide credentials for http://www.polarion.org.
I dont have one and polarion.org does not provide mechanism for me to register in http://www.polarion.org.
I registered myself in http://www.polarion.com, community.polarion.org and forums.polarion.org and used those credentials – but no luck.
This was the dead end for me

    skshenoy,

Thanks for letting us know about the Polarion site. That’s a change for them IIRC.

Anyway, here’s what I did to get Subversive installed:
    1) Launched MyEclipse and opened the Software and Workspace Center
    2) Selected the Dashboard tab
    3) Checked “Subversive Plugin” in the “Quick-Add Popular Plugins” Section
    4) When the dialog displays to ask about optional software nothing is selected and I leave it that way
    5) Apply the change and allow to restart
    6) Test the environment by opening the “SVN Repsonitory Exploring” Perspective.

    Hope that helps.
