does 4.0 m1 support hibernate 3? or spring 1.2?
i thought i read somewhere that it was going it?

M2 will have Spring support, but it didn’t make M1.
For M2, we are also planning on updating XDoclet with the Hibernate 3 version, but it’s unlikely that all our hibernate tools will be up to version 3 for that build.

they hibernate guys are recommending it, it ads new things…
until it can put the right jars in (hibernate 3) it will be an issue for many people.

i hope it makes 4.0 final or M3 (if there is one)

I don’t have an exact date other than to say we’re working on it.

New things which you may or may not need. Many don’t seem to, since the new features are quite advanced. Perhaps you could try the existing support to see if that meets your projects needs? We’ll do our best to get it in as soon as possible.
