In an attempt to better understand the demands of our users and what technologies you all are working with (in addition to possibly creating pre-packaged bundles) we wanted to get your feedback on what you think are the most common 3rd party plugins added to a default MyEclipse install and why you need them.

What we have so far is:

* Subclipse
* TPTP

I’d very much appreciate the presence of TPTP, since it is close to the tooling in Rational, which would make the argument to move to MyEclipse easier in some client sites.

My take so far

* Subclipse — needed until subversion support is added
* TPTP — performance tuning is a key part of development
* Fatjar — this helped quite a few of our Matisse4MyEclipse developers deploy their apps, very handy
* PMD/Checkstyle (not sure which) — team-based metrics are important

Cool but not necessary:
* JAD support, not everyone uses it
* WOJ, great plugin but not free

Note, these are not the views from management, just my 2cent observation from being on this side of the fence.
