After upgrading from MyEclipse 8.x to 8.5, whenever I check code into my SVN repository, the username shows up as “bitten”. I believe this also happens to people when their MyEclipse subscription has expired, but mine is still active and entered properly when I view it in MyEclipse.

    lbkatz70,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Can you copy and paste your installation details here? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
Can you remove your SVN settings and re-create them afresh? Next perform -clean for all your projects. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Projects> Clean and choose clean all projects.
Let me know how this works for you.

I created a new workspace before starting any changes – I am not sure this was necessary. I uninstalled the Subversive plugin, and removed the Subversion directory that was left over in C:\Documents and Settings\…\Application Data. I restarted MyEclipse, and reinstalled the Subversive plugin. I checked out a project from a repository, made a minor change, and when I committed it, my correct user name appeared in the Author field. I switched to my original workspace, cleaned the project, and committed a change with the correct results again.

    Thank you for your help.
