Not sure if this is me being daft not knowing my way around ME very well, so if I am bear with me.

Been using ME for about 3 weeks 24/7 in my new job and am very pleased with it.

But like most developers I don’t wish to see package explorer / Console panes when I’m editing a specific file type. So i have made my own perspective which I switch to when I open say a JSP file or an XML file.

What I’m asking : Is there a way so that when I open a JSP file it will automatically switch to my ‘JSP Perspective’, same for SQL files XML Files etc..?

If not, please can you fit it in? 😀

    Thanks,

    Mike Miller.

Hah, this is really an Eclipse feature, not a MyEclipse feature. The fundamental platform type support for switching perspectives based on file types is something the platform should provide.

Have you checked bugs.eclipse.org to see if anyone else wants this? You might find it to be a popular request!
