amattasMemberWhen I try to access the JSF visual Designer, JSP Visual Designer, in linux I get a SWT error and then it asks me to shutdown eclipse. And says I can check the log file.
I am running this on linux 2.6.22
And have tried both Java 5 and 6, same result.
Riyad KallaMemberCan you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and post the result here?
amattasMemberI will post this as soon as I get home tonight. I also do not have an “Internal Browser” I can select in the eclipse options, which I think may have to do with the issued.

Riyad KallaMemberI’m sorry for missing this before, but the visual designer is currently disabled on Linux due to instabilities we are seeing with some configurations. The crashing is one reason we disabled it, other folks are getting VM lock ups as well. It’s currently not support on Linux until we work out the kinks, I’m sorry.
amattasMemberIf I buy a license, and use it in my windows VM, can I later bring it over to linux, or will I have to buy a second key?
Riyad KallaMemberThe subscription is tied to you as a developer, not the platform or install. So you can install it on Windows, Linux and a Mac if you wanted, as long as it was *you* using it.
dbuecheMemberBut if we install MyEclipse on Linux, won’t that affect all users, since they are going to be executing against the same binary?
Riyad KallaMemberI don’t understand the question… what do you mean by “executing against the same binary”? Do you mean the compiled Java code? It’s byte code, so it’s platform agnostic… did you mean the MyEclipse installer?
I was just a bit fuzzy on what you meant.
