I originally wrote a webapp specifically tuned for iPhone. When I decided to adapt that to work on a Palm Pre, I decided to test the webapp as is using the MobiOne Test Center (Palm Pre device selected). I was pleasantly surprised to see it load up great! The video, the java, wahoo! So, I asked a friend who has a Pre to test it (I’m an iPhoner) and he said that the Java (the control panel) loads fine, but the video will not.

Am I missing the point of the test center maybe? Shouldn’t the results be the same? Maybe his Pre just hiccuped? If someone could please test the app on your Test Center and actual Pre, I’d love to hear what the scoop is. Point your Pre browser to m.tankedcam.com

The Pre emulation is still a work-in-progress and has a few rendering flaws. You are correct in your expectation for accurate rendering. So this is our BAD. We will be addressing those gaps in the near future.
