I feel for you guys at Genuitec. I have two licenced copies of MyEclipse (one bought personally, and one won in an Eclipse-plugins competition thingy) and I don’t use them much at the moment but I do support and respect Genuitec for the following reasons:

1. The price. $30 a licence is nothing. B**land pissed me off big time with their prices. I moved to Eclipse and MyEclipse. 🙂
2. The absolutely stupendous support you get here in these forums and directly by e-mail from Genuitec.
3. The refreshing fact that you Genuitec guys *care*.

Respect.

We’re all coders and developers here and we all want to put in the latest features in our own software ASAP. We all know that one. The only mistake made by Genuitec was to put in *major* changes between a beta, in fact a Release Candidate build, and the GA build. Should have been a 4.0.0 release. Oops!

So… we know these things will be fixed. And hey, we haven’t paid $2000 per seat from B**land only to be ignored…

So, nice one guys! I know you’ll get there.

We really appreciate the kinds words and the support. We are testing a fix build right now that should be out tommorow I believe if all goes smoothly… almost 40 bug fixes, I guess that’s good AND bad 🙂

Well said. On this release we all learned a lot and are moving to a milestone / release candidate / final build methodology to keep from surprising our users again. Thanks for the support and understanding. We all learn as we grow. 🙂
