Tim McGuireMemberI’m running myeclipse 7.1 on Windows XP. I have all my other projects closed and I’m working on a very small project. When I make a change, I have to restart Tomcat and that takes 5 or 6 minutes. Slows down development time a bit.
The tomcat version is: 6
Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve searched the forums and haven’t found anyone with the same problem. Are there any settings I should look at?

Loyal WaterMemberI haven’t come across other users reporting such an issue with Tomcat. I would like you to test something for me. Can you switch to a new workspace, reconfigure the tomcat connector and check if there is any performance improvement? I believe this could be a workspace related issue.

You believe correctly! I switched to a new workplace. I couldn’t believe how fast it starts now.
Why do you suppose this was happening in the other workspace? Too many projects?
What do you mean by “reconfigure the tomcat connector?” I changed the port, but that was about it.

Too many projects should not be the problem. If you change the port in the old workspace does the performance improve?
You should also try and use the -clean command on the old workspace and check if the issue gets resolved.
https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshoot-using-the-clean-command-line-argument/Incase the problem persists in the old workspace, you will have to import your projects into the new workspace and continue working.
