support-michaelKeymasterHi Rick,
Sorry to hear of your installer troubles. Let’s see if we can figure out what’s goof’n up.
1) Verify that you have the latest MobiOne installer
file: MobiOne_1.0.1_Installer.exe
size: 130,449,832 bytesIf the installer is much smaller than this please try downloading again from http://genuitec.com/mobile/download.html. Before attempting to reinstall please be sure to manually delete any residual files possibly left over from the installer failure incident you are reporting, files are found at <installpath>/MobiOne Studio. Also kill any residual hung installer process by checking your Task Monitor for a mobione*.exe or java exe process.
2) The longer the installer runs the more diagnostic info it captures in a log. Can you check your temp dir for any files named with the following patterns and send them to support at genuitec dot com with title “MobiOne installer diagnostics”:
pulse-one-<number>.log
MobiOne-support-2010-MM-DD-HH-MM.zip3) What was the installation path if not the default, (default = <userhome>/AppData/Local/MobiOne Studio)
4) Lastly what user privileges/role were you running as, e.g., administrator, guest, …?

res005ru@verizon.netMemberHi Wayne
OK, The installer package was only 7.3 plus mb, I tried 3 more downloads
and the dl stopped at 2.4 mb and 3.5 mb. I was using Firefox 3.6. I then
started a dl with IE, it is at 27 plus mb and still working at this time. One the original
post, the failure came after starting the MobiOne Installer and getting admin riigths to
install. Nothing occurred as the installer just started. May have a problem with Firefox
downloads, I do not see how as Firefox kicks IE’s butt.Rick
support-michaelKeymasterOn your win7 box try installing in the default location which is <userhome>/AppData/Local. The long term reason for this suggestion is that it will support in-product updates as we roll them out.
I have forwarded your experience with Firefox downloading to our network admin for evaluation. The host infrastructure is LAMP and should love your Firefox browser.
Let me know how it turns out.
