I’ve been trying to figure out how to add support for using a Select List item as a proper combo-box, where the user can either enter text, or select from a list of pre defined texts.

I think I can get the needed functionality, like only going to the Item list when you click the chevron at the right side of the object, not when you click the text entry box in it.

I’m just having trouble working out how the generated html/js is retrieving the selected value and using it to draw on the list item.

I essentially just need to change the functionality of the select list item so when you change items, instead of writing on the list object’s background, it writes into the text box, but somehow I simply cannot see how this would need to be implemented.

Also, is there any plan to support these sort of select list items in the future, or even just normal drop down combo boxes that allow for user input.
