Hmm! I can’t say about Safari because I use the Test Center emulator when testing or a real iphone. Since Safari is not Mobile Safari, I don’t spend time trying such alt methods. I expect that Safari has some setting to kill JS. Maybe google knows?

I’m curious why you use Safari and not the MobiOne Test Center?

At this time there is not an option to disable JS on the Test Center emulators. I have opened an enhancement request for an option to toggle javascript execution on/off. It is currently always enabled because the Design Center’s “Run in Test Center” feature requires JS support to function propertly.

I’m curious what you’re developing and testing that you would like javascript to be disabled on the iphone?

We are developing a ASP.Net web based application that requires javascript to be turned on(for ajax, asp.net controls need javascript enabled). One of the use cases that needs to be tested is if the client device has javascript turned off then he should not be allowed to use the application\ show a nice friendly message to the user asking him to enable javascript on his device.

I’ve added your feedback to the enhancement request. Thanks
