Just installed 4.0 M3 in the hope of trying out the UML features but I can’t see them. I’m not seeing the “UML” menu option, though I can open the UML perspective.

Do I need to do anything to “activate” the UML tools?

Drag java source files from the package explorer and drop them onto the diagram to quickly reverse engineer a class or the contents of package or two.

I was hoping I could use the PNG files generated by the UML tool in applications such as MS Word but the resolution isn’t high enough (you can’t read the text). Is there any way to either increase the resolution of the PNG file or increase the size of the font used on UML diagrams?

Alternatively, I see I can export diagrams as XMI projects – do you happen to know of any tools to enable apps like MS Word to read XMI files as diagrams?

    Robbie,
You can change the Font settings for the UML tool at: Window > Prefs > MyEclipse > UML

And I don’t know of a plugin for Word that allows you to view XMI files.

Perfect! Strangely I was looking at that preferences page but didn’t spot that you can change the font… oops!
