I am experimenting with the new UML modeling tools.

I notice there is a “Java Import” menu item under UML but I am unsure if it is really available or just a place holder for future functionality. If it is available can you tell me how to utilise it to create a UML diagram from existing code ?

Also do direct edits to generated code get reflected in the UML diagrams when refreshed ?

For M1, we concentraed on UML drawing and we really didn’t finish implementing bidirectional code synchronization. It will be available in Milestone 2, however.

i have installed Milestone 2 and using Eclipse 3.0.2. But somehow the “Import Java” is deactivated. Is there a tutorial, how import java for UML?

No tutorials yet, my guess is that the functionality wasn’t synced from HEAD before the Milestone 2 build was shipped. I will double check.

Riyad is correct in that the import of Java into diagrams was disabled due t osome resource usage issues. We’re working on fixing and enabling them for the next build.

In the version I have installed the “UML:Import Java” is still disabled. Did it not make it into this version? version 4.o Milestone 2 for Eclipse 3.1.0
