According to various posts on this forum, it was stated that UML will start working on OS X when this bug is fixed:

    https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=67384

It has now been fixed by both Apple and Eclipse, yet the UML menu still does not appear.

I am running Eclipse 3.2 final and have the SWT Compatibility Libraries (Apple’s part of the fix) installed.

    I am also running MyEclipse 5.0 M2

Is there a configuration in a file somewhere that I can change to enable the UML stuff, or do you need to do a new build?

If you need a new build, when can we expect one?

It seems that it will indeed require a new build.

If you go to Windows->Preferences->MyEclipse->UML it displays an error message stating that the UML functionality will not work on OSes other than Windows and Linux.

    The exact message is:

“MyEclipse UML cannot be run under OSes other than Windows or Linux”

Any idea when we can expect a build that will work?

Unfortunately, the bug you referenced is just the first step to try SWT_AWT implementation. Take a look at this bug:
    https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=145890

So there is still some very fundamental problems with the SWT / AWT interaction on Eclipse for OS X. We will continue to use our influence at Eclipse to push for a better, more complete implementation.

Sorry for the inconveinence. We don’t like the situation any more than our Mac users.
