Thomas SchenkerParticipantHi
If I insert a transition between two states in a “State Machine Diagram,” then the transition is shown only as a line. The arrowhead is missing.
When I look at the pictures in the user manual, the transitions have an arrowhead (for example https://www.genuitec.com/docs/visual-design/uml2-modeling-myeclipse/).
Is this a software bug or do I need to change a MyEclipse setting?

support-swapnaModeratorThomas,
Thank you for the screenshot. I see the arrowhead at my end for transition in a State Machine diagram.
Please switch to a new workspace and check if the arrowhead is still missing. If you are still seeing the issue, then please let us know the MyEclipse version. You can get the details from Help > About MyEclipse dialog.
Also share the .log file located at workspace dir/.metadata/.log (rename the extension to .txt and attach it here)–Swapna

Thomas SchenkerParticipantSwapna,
Thank you very much for your support.
Even if I create a new workspace and create a new state machine diagram, the arrowhead is still missing.
The Eclipse version is: 2021.5.24
Please find the logfile attached.

Thomas SchenkerParticipantSwapna,
It’s not possible to submit the sample files (upload errors).
Do you have any idea? Thanks for your support.
Brian FernandesModeratorThomas,
Please zip the diagrams and email them to us at support@genuitec.com. By any chance, have you tried this on another machine? Are all members of your team experiencing this same problem?
Thomas SchenkerParticipantHi Brian,
yes all members of our team have the same problem.
We have reinstalled MyEclipse with the newest version myeclipse-2021.5.24a. But also with the newest version the problem still persists.
We have now noticed that if we change the theme from “Light” to “DevStyle Theme” (Window –> Preferences –> General –> Appearance –> Theme) then the arrowheads appear. When we change back to “Light” the arrowheads disappear again.
We think this is a general MyEclipse problem. How do we go on?
support-swapnaModeratorThomas,
Indeed, it is a theme problem. The arrowhead is present but has wrong color making it invisible in light/classic theme.
I have filed a bug report for the dev team to fix it. As a workaround, you can change the arrow color from theWindow > Preferences > UML2 > Appearance > STM Diagram > Transition
, select a different Foreground Color to fix the arrowhead display issue. Once you select a different Foreground color, apply the changes and reopen the UML file in the editor area.Apologies for inconvenience caused. Thank you for reporting it.
