Unable to change Tomcat JDK settings

    Set up Tomcat (I used Tomcat 4) and clicked the “Add…” button to define a new Tomcat JRE. I pointed to a JRE instead of a JSDK and now there is no apparent way to remove the defective reference from the drop-down menu. Needs a “Remove” button !!

    You actually need to point your JRE to a JDK. The application server cannot run without it.

    In addition to Riyad’s advice you can remove an installed JRE/JDK from the Eclipse preferences:

    Windows menu>Preferences>Java>Installed JREs
