This happened after Eclipse hang. I was using Spindle plugin 3.1.26 before Eclipse hang. If I go back to 3.1.25, I don’t get the error message. I also went through the Find Update and installed the 3.1.26 again which didn’t help to get rid of the error. I need some help here to get the 3.1.26 to work again. Thanks.

Here is the detail error message:
“Unable to instantiate editor: com.iw.plugins.spindle.ui.editors.spec org.eclipse.core.runtime.CoreException: Plug-in com.iw.plugins.spindle.ui was unable to load class com.iw.plugins.spindle.editors.spec.SpecEditor.”

Moving to OT > Soft dev, this is an issue with Spindle’s editor not comming up.

Patrick, Spindle is integrated directly into MyEclipse in our 4.0 release, so there is no longer a need to install the plugin separately.

Patrick,
It is available in our download area under “Development Releases”, but our Milestone 2 release is due out in another 2 weeks, you may want to wait for it as we have made a lot of good bug fixes and feature completion work in that release and it will be a compatiable release for Eclipse 3.1RC1 (there were a handful of bugs in our M7 beta that came out a few weeks ago).

Just so I have this clear in my mind guys. The original problem occured when installing Spindle from SF into a pre 4.0 ME release?

If so it might be a good idea to log the original problem over at SF since fixes there *will* make it into ME in short order.
